Self-potrait

The miniature me in this photo represents the average size me emotions and feelings
The pose of the miniature me represents feeling sad and alone
The facial expression in this photo represents sadness and hopelessness
The light shining on my face represents hope
The background is supposed to represent everything in the world hitting you in the head

The facial expression in this pictures represents contemplating something.
The make up and hair represent a model or dancer
I love dancing in nature so I put these two trees in the background to represent my love for nature

Artist Statement:
I have never taken a photography class until this year. I really enjoyed each project and learning more about photography. The self-portraits were definitely my favorite project out of every other project because I got to show different sides of myself and use my imagination to create different feelings and emotions. I learned by doing these self portraits that it only takes a little effort and creativity. One thing that really surprised me was that some of the finished products didn't end up looking what I wanted them to but they ended up being the best self-portraits.

E.This photo is really powerful because it shows paramedics and fire department rescuing this woman.
F. By the expression of the woman's face in this photo she looks like she just lost a loved one.
G.The most important part of this picture is the act of the fire department and paramedics rescuing this woman in this house that is falling apart.

E. This photo is very bold and has a lot to show. This photo is interesting because of the lighting of the milky way the tree is like a silhouette but the rock isn't because the light is shining on it.
F. This photo reminds me of the night sky in the country and desert
G. If I was living in this photograph I would feel peace and relaxation because of the sky. You can see every star in the sky and the light of the milky way in the sky which is really fascinating.

A. Cocalzinho de Goiás, Goias, Brazil
B. Victor Lima
C. Brasilia is the federal capital of Brazil and it's globally known for Oscar Niemeyer architecture. Guided by friends from there, I met the Corumbá Jump, which is a few kilometers from the city and it's one of the most impressive waterfalls I have seen. When I reached the spot to take photos, there were many tourists admiring the waterfall. This could be a problem but I decided to include them in the scene to give sense of scale, while I put myself on a high position to catch the whole scenery.

E. What most interests me about this picture is how big the waterfall is and the movement of the water falling down.
F. The water falling is white, the rocks are light and dark brown with moss on them.
G. Compared to the waterfall the people at the bottom look very small and far away.
